Family Ministry

We believe that faith is a journey. Families are nurtured throughout this journey by the family ministry program. Elements of this nurturing come from the Ministerial Staff, Visitation Ministry Team, Family Services Ministry Team, Social Ministry Team, Recreation Ministry Team, and mostly from the deacons. The 24 deacons of the First Baptist Clemson minister to and support the families of the Church. Deacons also have assigned non-member families who frequent the activities of the Church. Deacons are available to assist families in their faith journey as well as everyday needs. Deacons rotate as on-call deacons who are available in the absence of staff. Deacons are the spiritual leaders of First Baptist Clemson rather than the governing body. A list of deacons and assigned families can be found at this link.
