Adults
There are a variety of Sunday School Classes for adults. Some approach Bible Study through lessons from Baptists Today while others use a variety of approaches like book reviews. A list of adult Sunday School classes can be downloaded here.
Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinners and CORD Classes
Faith on the 5's includes a fellowship meal at 5:05 PM followed by CORD classes or Bible study from 5:55-6:55 PM. CORD stands for Companions on the Road of Discipleship and each term consists of several 6-week classes. Our Spring 2013 CORD classes are Proof of Heaven (taught by Rusty Brock) and A Year of Biblical Womanhood (taught by Kerry Leeper Brock, Martha Ann H. Callahan, and Tiffany Hamilton.
Chancel Choir and Adult Handbells
Adults and youth are encouraged to participate in the Chancel Choir and Adult Handbells. Chancel Choir rehearsals are held each Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room.
Monday Night Basketball
Open play basketball takes place in the Family Life Center at 7:30 PM on Monday nights. No registration necessary and youth and adults of all ages are welcome.
Mission Activities
There are always mission activities available for adults. These include: Clemson Community Care food drives, Safe Harbor clothing drives, Habitat for Humanity build projects, Allendale County Work-Days, Helping Hands Christmas collections, local home repairs, and a summer Honduras Mission Trip.
Clemson Downs Service
First Baptist Church conducts a special service at Clemson Downs Retirement Village the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 AM. The service features song, fellowship, and a special message.
Adults staff the Intercessory Prayer Ministry prayer room daily during office hours. Shutins participate in this ministry by praying in their homes on Fridays. The Men's prayer ministry meets on Monday morning at the church.
The Womens Missionary Unit [WMU] sponsors monthly mission studies and opportunities.
