COOPERATIVE STUDENT FELLOWSHIP
CSF is the name of the college ministry at First Baptist
Clemson. CSF is a recognized campus organization started in August
of 2004. Our faculty advisor is Dr. Neil Burton. The Student
Leadership Team of CSF in conjunction with the College Committee and
College Minister Reverend Casey Callahan coordinate and plan the
many ministries and activities.
Authenticity. Connections. Relevance. Empowerment. It is our hope that students who engage the College Ministry here at First Baptist Clemson will find each of these components: authenticity to be themselves, connections with peers and others at all life stages, relevance to the emerging world, and empowerment to lead and shape our Clemson community and beyond. Regardless of background or tradition, all students are welcomed to come join this community as we journey together through life and faith.
The College Ministry at First Baptist Clemson is a vital component to the life of the church. The church was formed in 1907 as a way to reach the cadets at Clemson College. Since that time, the church has continued to place an immense focus on the college campus, just as its physical location is focused in the heart of downtown Clemson. In August 2004, First Baptist Clemson formed a new campus organization, Cooperative Student Fellowship (CSF), and in doing so reclaimed its history of reaching college students in all areas of their lives. The students on the first CSF planning team were visionary in their scope and laid the foundation for exciting, creative and engaging days to come.
CSF and First Baptist provide a place where students can be embraced, be nourished, and be challenged along their journey; most of all, this is a place where students can be themselves. I look forward to getting to know you and am here to help in any way.
“There are three things that will endure – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love.” ~I Corinthians 13:13 (NLT)
