Fellowship Activities

 

Wednesday Night Fellowship Suppers

 

Wednesday night activities correspond to the local school year. Suppers start at 5:15 each Wednesday evening. Cost is $5.00 adults, $3.00 College Students & Kids (12 & under) and $16.00 Maximum Charge for families. Take-out is $0.50 extra.

Cuban Style Chicken & rice, black beans, salad bar, rolls and cheese cake bites. Children will have a choice of the main entrée or hotdogs each week.

Student Luncheons

 

Free student luncheons are scheduled during the college school year. Check the college student (CFS) pages for the schedule. The College Student Committee sponsors these events after Worship and are supported by various Sunday School Classes.

 

Thursday Evening Student Dinners

 

Each Thursday evening, the CSF sponsors a free meal for college students as part of the regular CSF meeting and Bible study.

 

Deacon Family Dinners

 

Annually, the deacons hold a dinner for deacon families. These dinners vary in schedule but are traditionally in February.

 

Deacon Ice Cream Social

 

Deacons provide a homemade ice cream social for the congregation in July of each year. Location varies.

 

Sunday Morning Welcome Center

 

Coffee is provided in the office foyer each Sunday morning prior to Sunday School. Come early and visit with fellow members of the congregation.

 

Halloween Downtown

 

A public service of FBC is the annual Halloween festival downtown in Clemson. In 2008, FBC served more than 600 hotdogs individuals from the community. See pictures here.

 

Annual Church-wide Picnic

 

Sponsored by the Social Committee, the picnic is a highlight of the summer season. Time of this event varies each year but is announced on the web site and in the TIE newsletter.

 

Salt Shakers

 

Salt Shakers is a rotating fellowship activity where families (or friends in the case of singles) volunteer to host one covered dish dinner in their home and attend three other events in other homes. Thus, each dinner has eight participants.

 

Singles

 

The Singles Committee plans various activities throughout the year.
