Deacon Election 2009
 

Deacons are elected at First Baptist Church for a 3 year term. This year we will elect 8 new deacons. Our deacons are the spiritual leaders of the church. The deacon body is not a board and management decisions are made elsewhere. Deacons provide service to families, ministers and the congregation. The primary elements of service include: spiritual leadership, programming support, family ministry, assist with Worship, assist with Church ministry, service to the congregation, show Holy Spirit in their own lives, provide advice as requested by staff and committees and putting needs of the Church before self.

The following individuals were elected on November 16, to serve a three year term from 2009 - 2011.
