Edible Art: A Progressive Thanksgiving
The Arts Enrichment Committee is sponsoring an “artful” display of
canned goods throughout the month of November. We hope to receive over 1000
cans of fruit, vegetables, and protein sources such as meat or beans.
Our children are leading the way with a competition in the children’s Sunday
School class, but all church members are asked to bring at least one canned
item of food to church each Sunday and leave them in the office foyer or the
Arts Enrichment display area.
Each week the members of the committee will make new arrangements from the
items that have been brought. How large these free-standing sculptures
become will depend on how much food is donated. Let’s stack the food high
this Thanksgiving! At the end of the month, the food display will be
dismantled and delivered to Clemson Community Care.
